Description
“With particular excitement the latest work by Jeffrey Ching has been expected: "Seventeen Ghosts in Three Scenes”. It combines the Chinese story of the fate of the concubine Wang Zhaojun with elements of Western European literature like Oscar Wilde’s “Salome" and Bertolt Brecht’s "The Caucasian Chalk Circle ". Ching developed from that an approximately 60-minute scenario, culminating in a long, circular, ghostly procession of eleven musicians (dircted by René Gulikers)."
