"Rhythmically sophisticated overlapping of the voices or alternating juxtapositions of piano and strings convey a dynamically flexible music that is characterized by micro-intervallic harmony and noise components.

The one-movement piece, characterized by many changes of expression, begins and ends with the construction of polyphonically interlaced textures; in the intervening sections, piano and strings are combined in different ways.

Due to its numerous rhythmic, dynamic and tonal subtleties, the composition proves to be a demanding contemporary contribution to the repertoire for piano quartet. Its performance requires a certain routine in dealing with contemporary music."
